Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear (FPLCF) provides case management and transitional housing for victims of domestic violence and emergency shelter to homeless families with children; while supplying them with the resources and skills vital to regaining and maintaining financial independence.

We are proud to say that with the support from individuals like you, we are able to accomplish our mission. Last year 95% of families in our programs obtained permanent housing. The average age of a child in our program is 6.

FPLCF currently has two programs; Wilmington Interfaith Hospitality Network (WIHN) Emergency Housing and Families Forward Transitional Housing. Looking forward, we plan on adding new programs and services to better assist our families.

WIHN assists families on a temporary basis. These families are housed overnight at area place of worship. These congregations not only provide overnight shelter, but also offer meals, hospitality, and a nurturing safe environment. There is no cost to participate in this program.

Families Forward Transitional Housing program is for families who are victims of domestic violence. We are the only transitional housing program for families who are victims of domestic violence in the tri-county area. This program allows these families time to heal physically, emotionally and financially.

We offer a “HAND UP” to the families we serve.
